Maximum City

Mumbai is a culture pot. Millions of people open their eyes at the crack of dawn to begin their lives for one more day. With the sound of sparrows and crows echoing, the city awakens to move forward. Economically, financially and morally.

A city which homes people from every facets of life. Young and old, rich and poor. The city moves forward.

A city I fell in love with since I moved from Ahemdabad, where I spent more than a decade as a child, growing, playing and learning.

The city of Mumbai has a certain charm that pulls you in. The lust, the love and the hatred is a concoction which is poised beautifully in every Mumbaikar's mind.

At one side we have the architectural marvel of the sea-link. A 7 kilometer wonder bridge which across the salt waters of the Arabian Sea, linking the south of the city to the north. Whilst on the other side we have the congested and clogged streets of Kalbadevi; littered with paper, garbage and chocking the by lanes with people, cars and hand carts. Mumbai has its fair share of chaos and liberty. It somehow goes hand in hand.

A Ganpati idol carried on the streets of Mumbai for immersion in the sea.
This city has a reason to celebrate all year round. Reason being because you have each and every religion in the country living side by side. From the Islamic festival of Ramadan, to the noisy and the extremely energetic  Ganesh Chaturthi. The festival of lights, celebrating the Hindu Diwali to the sound of carols during Christmas. Mumbai knows how to make life a lot lighter, happier and fun.

Noise, pollution and concrete make this city one with chaos. A chaos that is hard to tame but a chaos one enjoys. With the great black and yellows of Mumbai nipping around the roads and overpasses, everyone in this city thrives on this chaos.
The black and yellows of Mumbai.

Through this blog, you will enter a world slightly unknown to Mumbai. The cold, vibrant, horny and sleepless streets of the city.

Enter Mumbai, enter maximum.
